Our challenges:

Development of strategic research directions in the fields of hydrogen aviation and future renewable energy technologies in search for long-term solutions to achieve climate neutrality
Leading research on green hydrogen and sustainable aviation fuels (SAF), including innovative conversion pathways based on solar energy (e.g. sun-to-liquid-2.eu) and residual biomass (e.g. project-circulair.eu), with system-level life cycle and techno-economic analysis
Acquisition and implementation of multi-partner projects, and coordination of national and European research networks
Supervision of PhD students and undergraduates
Communication of research results and recommendations through journal publications, conferences and media channels

We need you because:

You have successfully completed your studies with a PhD in physics, chemistry or process engineering, and you convince with a profound understanding of renewable energy technologies and hydrogen
You bring scientific creativity in combination with strong quantitative analytical skills and programming expertise to our team
You have a strong interest in climate-impact mitigation, SAF pathways, and life-cycle and/or cost analysis
You are familiar with sustainability aspects of renewable energy technologies and you have proven that you can work your way into new topics
You are passionate about contributing scientific answers to enable the transition to renewable energy and fuels in aviation
You are interested in multidisciplinary, target-oriented tasks within joint academic or industry projects
You are proficient in German and English
