Your tasks:
- In this role, you will initially familiarise yourself with hybrid-electric propulsion architectures based on hydrogen-powered solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) systems
- Building on this foundation, you will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to geometrically integrate the key subsystems—including the fuel cell, gas turbine, heat exchanger, and electrical system—into a coherent overall propulsion architecture
- You will then develop a detailed CAD model of the integrated system
- Finally, you will prepare and deliver the finalised design to enable the manufacturing of a physical mock-up
Your qualification:
- You are an enrolled university student (m/f/d) in the field of aerospace, mechanical engineering or a related field
- Ideally, you could already earn practical experience in working with CAD tools
- You have proven skills in software development, preferably with MATLAB
- You show a strong interest in propulsion system design and motivation to contribute to the future of aviation
- Self-reliance, reliability and a high level of self-organisation are among your strengths
- You thrive in a connected team environment and be eager to improve
