Your Tasks

  • In this role, you will first do research on fuselage belly fairing & crown fairing modelling of wing/body mounted landing gear or high-wing configuration.
  • Building on this foundation, you will then review the literature about fuselage belly fairing design & crown fairing design
  • Finally, you will Implement/generate the methodologies into aircraft design software, which includes:
    • geometry modelling of the fairing
    • aerodynamic modelling of the fairing
    • mass modelling of the fairing

Your Profile

•You are an enrolled student (m/f/d) in Aerospace Engineering, Computational Science and Engineering, or Computational Mechanics with a technical background or a related field
•You have excellent software development skills (preferably in Python or any object-oriented languages)
•You show a good understanding of aircraft design methods and methodologies are required
•Ideally you are familiar with CPACS
•You demonstrate an independent working style with clear communication of results and thorough documentation skills
•You have good English speaking and writing skills
